Paying on OnlyFans is simple once a card is added, but the first payment is where most problems happen. Here is what the platform accepts, how to add a card, and how to fix the common errors.

What OnlyFans accepts

MethodAccepted?Notes
Visa, Mastercard and other major debit or credit cardsYesThe standard way to pay
Prepaid cardsSometimesOnly if the card supports online verification and a registered address
Wallet creditWhere offeredTopped up with a card in advance, then spent on the platform
PayPalNoNot supported directly
Bank transferNo
Crypto or gift cardsNoRequests to pay this way are a scam sign

Exact options can vary by country, so the payment settings page in your account is the final word.

Adding a card

  1. Open your account menu and go to the payment section (often called "Your cards" or "Add card").
  2. Enter the card details and the billing address exactly as your bank has them, including the postcode.
  3. Complete any security check your bank shows, such as a code in your banking app.
  4. Once the card is saved, subscribe or unlock as normal. Each purchase shows the price before you confirm.

Adding a card is not a payment. You are only charged when you subscribe, unlock or tip.

Why a payment gets declined

ReasonWhat to do
The bank blocks online or international paymentsEnable them in your banking app, or call the bank
The bank blocks adult merchantsSome banks do this by default; ask them, or try a different card
Billing address does not matchRe-enter it exactly as on your bank statement
The security check (3-D Secure) failed or timed outTry again and approve the prompt in your banking app
Not enough funds, or the card has expiredTop up or use another card
Too many attempts in a short timeWait a while before retrying; repeated attempts can trigger fraud checks

If nothing works, our troubleshooting guide covers other problems, and OnlyFans support can see the decline reason on their side.

What appears on your statement

Every purchase is a separate line on your card statement, with a merchant name that identifies OnlyFans. There is no option to disguise it. If discretion matters to you, keep that in mind before using a shared card. Our privacy guide has more.

Tax at checkout

Depending on where you live, VAT or sales tax is added on top of the creator’s price. That is why a $10 subscription can show up as slightly more on your statement. The tax depends on your location, not the creator’s.

For reference, here is what paid pages in this directory charge before tax:

Monthly price of paid pages
Under $52 pages
$5 – $9.9914 pages
$10 – $14.999 pages
$15 – $19.994 pages
$20 – $29.9910 pages
$30 and up6 pages

Stay safe

  • Pay only through OnlyFans’ own checkout. Never send money to a creator through another app.
  • Turn on two-step verification on your OnlyFans account, so a stolen password cannot be used to spend from your card.
  • Check your purchase history in the account settings now and then.
